On 17 October 2024, the SHER team visited University of Applied Sciences in Ferizaj (UASF) to present the programme and activities to Rector Mr. Agron Bajraktari and his staff.

The SHER team informed the UASF senior management about the programme’s aim, objective, activities and the implementation approach. During the meeting, the discussions focused also on the concrete opportunities that SHER could take-up and which are in line with UASF priorities as well as wider higher education reform such as performance-based funding, revision of the strategic document, revision of the statute and harmonization of the regulations with the new trends, gender equality plans and other similar fields.

Rector Bajraktari conveyed UASF’s strong enthusiasm for collaborating with SHER Programme. He highlighted that SHER’s focus on strengthening institutional governance, revising the key strategic documents, and fostering research and innovation aligns well with UASF’s goal of becoming a leader in applied sciences. Rector Bajraktari noted that this partnership would contribute significantly to UASF’s ambition to deliver modern higher education programs, enhance research capacity, and promote an inclusive, high-quality learning environment that prepares students for real-world challenges in applied sciences.
