About OKAA

The Organization of Kosovan-Austrian Alumni (OKAA) is a non-profit legal entity, was developed with full support of previous Austrian Development Agency (ADA) funded project (HERAS Plus) in 2023. OKAA is expected to further promote internationalization and academic mobility between Kosovo and Austria, share lessons learnt and act as a catalyst for generating new ideas.

OKAA’s mission and objectives

OKAA was founded to promote and strengthen the academic, scientific, and cultural ties between Kosovo and Austria. To achieve this mission, OKAA will undertake, but is not limited to, the following activities:

  • Unite Kosovar students and researchers who have completed their studies or research in Austria, creating a platform where they can share experiences, contribute ideas;
  • Support future students and researchers who aspire to study in Austrian universities;
  • Establish a network of Alumni and maintain strong connections with Kosovar graduates from Austrian institutions;
  • Build collaborations with Austrian universities and research institutions, promoting joint projects and fostering innovative partnerships;
  • Connect with the Kosovar Diaspora in Austria, strengthening ties and encouraging mutual support between the communities;
  • Organize and participate in events, including workshops, conferences, and seminars, to share knowledge, reflect on past projects, and inspire future academic and research initiatives;

Who can join OKAA and Why you should become a member?

If you are a Kosovar citizen and you are studying or have completed your studies in Austria you are eligible to join OKAA. By joining OKAA, you’ll become part of a dynamic network that connects Kosovo and Austria through education, research, and innovation.
