On 29 October 2024, the SHER Programme, led by Team Leader Mr. Aqim Emurli and Mr. Nehat Dervishi, held a productive meeting with Mr. Nehat Islami, Executive Director of the UPCO Institute, and Kosovo Chamber of Commerce representatives, Mr. Besim Mustafa and Ms. Venera Rexha.

The SHER Programme is dedicated to exploring innovative ideas to support UPCO within the higher education and research sectors. During the meeting, the SHER team expressed an interest in understanding the current state of UPCO’s development to better identify ideas and resources to provide tailored and impactful support to UPCO.

Looking ahead, SHER and UPCO will work closely together to build UPCO’s institutional capacities. Key areas of include enhancing governance, fostering strategic partnerships, and implementing national education and innovation strategies. By combining SHER’s expertise with UPCO’s vision, we aim to drive long-term sustainability and self-sufficiency for UPCO institute.

UPCO Institute aims to become a dynamic hub for new technologies, innovation, and entrepreneurship. Built on the ‘Triple Helix’ model, UPCO unites the expertise and resources of the University of Prishtina, the Municipality of Prishtina, and the Kosova Chamber of Commerce to foster growth and transformation in Kosovo’s economy.
