On 13 November 2024, the SHER team met with key officials from the Kosovo Accreditation Agency (KAA), General Director, Mr. Naim Gashi and President of State Council of Quality (SCQ) Board Ms. Hasnije Ilazi for an introductory meeting to explore potential areas of collaboration. The SHER Team Leader, Mr. Emurli provided an opportunity to introduce the SHER three-year programme, aimed at supporting higher education reforms in Kosovo.

During the discussions, both parties identified specific areas of cooperation that align with KAA’s priorities, especially in enhancing quality assurance across Kosovo’s higher education system. These include the development of PhD standards, strategy reviews, and a focus on strengthening the financial stability of universities.

Both teams agreed to regular follow-up meetings to monitor progress and adapt to emerging needs. This cooperation will highlight a shared commitment to building a sustainable and impactful activities, leveraging the expertise of both SHER and KAA to foster long-term improvements in governance and quality assurance.
