On 15 November 2024, University ‘Ukshin Hoti’ in Prizren (UUHP) and the SHER Programme officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The MoU marks an important milestone in the advancement of UUHP’s research and academic development. The collaboration aims to strengthen the integration of research, policy, and university development for a sustainable and evidence-based higher education system in Kosovo.
Rector of University ‘Ukshin Hoti’ in Prizren, Prof. Assoc. Dr. Mentor Alishani, highlighted the significant benefits UUHP gained from the previous projects and expressed gratitude in strengthening collaboration with the SHER programme. Mr. Alishani emphasized the significance of this partnership for UUHP, highlighting how it aligns with the university’s mission, vision, and strategic priorities. He noted the importance of developing the new strategic plan for UUHP, revising the university’s Statute, harmonizing internal Regulations, and strengthening governance to address emerging needs.
Team Leader of the SHER programme, Mr. Aqim Emurli, reaffirmed SHER’s dedication to promoting systemic transformation in higher education in Kosova. He underlined that this cooperation will drive tailored initiatives and activities that promote long-term development for UUHP.Mr. Emurli expressed enthusiasm about partnering with UUHP to develop evidence-based policies that bridge academia and industry, ensuring that both sectors work together to drive growth.
An open discussion took place where media and participants were invited into a Q&A session, questions related to open calls, student’s participation in the programme and similar.
UUHP and SHER agreed that the MoU will ensure proper and effective implementation of activities of mutual interest as well as enable efficient monitoring and evaluation of the achieved impact.
