On 3 December 2024, the workshop kicked off with a warm welcome address from Prof. Assoc. Dr. Mentor Alishani, the Rector of University “Ukshin Hoti” in Prizren (UUHP), and Mr. Nehat Dervishi, Thematic Coordinator from SHER Programme that welcomed the participants.

The University “Ukshin Hoti” in Prizren held a productive workshop as part of the development of the Strategic Plan for 2025-2029. The workshop, facilitated by local expert from the SHER Programme, focused on equipping participants with essential knowledge about strategic planning tailored for universities. The workshop began with an insightful presentation on the principles of strategic planning and the importance of aligning university goals with national and international standards in higher education.

Participants engaged in in-depth discussions and situational analysis, using the SWOT analysis tool to evaluate the university’s current strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. Through group collaboration, key strategic priorities were identified, including enhancing the quality of education, aligning curricula with labor market demands, improving campus infrastructure, and promoting internationalization.

The afternoon sessions were dedicated to developing specific objectives for each priority area and outlining next steps to refine these goals further. The session reviewed the outcomes and set the stage for continued collaboration in shaping the university’s forward-looking vision. The workshop marked an essential milestone in the strategic planning process, setting a strong foundation for the university’s growth and alignment with global standards.

Moving forward, the working groups, with input from expert and SHER Programme, will gradually refine objectives, goals, and measurable indicators that will form UUHP strategic plan for 2025-2029.
