On 3 March 2025, SHER Programme and University of Applied Science in Ferizaj (UASF) officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening academic and research development.

Rector Prof. Dr. Agron Bajraktari, in his remarks, stated that most of the University’s developments have been supported and implemented in the values of Austrian institutions. He thanked the representatives of SHER for the ongoing cooperation and stated the commitment to strengthening sustainability in higher education.

Ms. Veronika Nitsche, WUS Austria’s Head of Finance and Managing Director, highlighted that this MoU focuses on further enhancing education, fostering innovation, and supporting evidence-based research at UASF. It was agreed that SHER will support the implementation of activities that are in line with the provisions of the MoU.

This initiative aims to strengthen the higher education and research sectors by emphasizing evidence-based practices, needs-driven approaches, gender inclusivity, and sustainability. It is also aligned with the goals of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA), the European Research Area (ERA), and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, specifically Goals 4 and 9.
