On 22 May 2025, SHER in cooperation with Kosovo Accreditation Agency (KAA), held the workshop on revision of the PhD standards.

The workshop started with official remarks by Prof. Hasnije Ilazi, President of the State Council of Quality, Mr. Naim Gashi, General Director of the KAA, and Mr. Aqim Emurli, SHER Team Leader, who emphasized the importance of reviewing the PhD standards to in line with European and international practices, ensuring ongoing progress in higher education.

The workshop built upon international expertise, presented by SHER expert Ms. Melita Kovacevic, who shared best practices from across Europe, an overview of the approach of revising the standards and followed by an analysis of the current framework.

Additionally, the standards were reviewed section by section where the participants engaged in thorough discussions, analyzing each provision to ensure coherence, practicality, and alignment with national and international standards. This approach enabled to analyze the standards in greater detail and gave stakeholders the opportunity to provide constructive feedback.
