On 17 June 2025, SHER, in collaboration with the Kosovo Accreditation Agency (KAA), organized the concluding workshop dedicated to the revision process of the PhD accreditation standards.

This workshop marked the culmination of a series of meetings and prior workshop, aiming to gather final input and establish a common understanding of the proposed revisions.

The event was officially opened by Ms. Hasnije Ilazi, President of the State Council of Quality, Mr. Naim Gashi, General Director of KAA, and Mr. Aqim Emurli, Team Leader of SHER, who all emphasized the significance of aligning PhD standards with European guidelines and practices to ensure continued advancement in higher education.

Following the opening remarks, Ms. Melita Kovačević, SHER’s International Expert, delivered a detailed presentation on the proposed changes. Participants then shared initial reflections and feedback on the draft standards. The workshop proceeded with an in-depth discussion session, providing space for participants to delve into specific areas and jointly refine the standards. The event concluded with final remarks from the organizers, summarizing key takeaways and highlighting the next steps.

The workshop offered a productive space for dialogue and alignment among all participants involved in the process. Once finalized, the revised standards will move forward to a public hearing. The sessions also featured an overview of the revision methodology, followed by an analysis of the current framework, presented by international expert.
