SHER Programme and University ‘Kadri Zeka’ in Gjilan (UKZ) officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in a ceremony which took place on 26 February 2025. This MoU strengthens our strategic partnership to enhance university governance, institutional and academic development, and the internationalization of UKZ within Kosovo’s and European higher education landscape.
In his official address, Rector Prof. Assoc. Dr. Artan Dermaku highlighted the SHER Programme’s crucial role in advancing Kosovo’s higher education sector and emphasized the importance of this partnership in shaping UKZ’s future development. SHER Programme Team Leader, Mr. Aqim Emurli, provided an overview of the SHER Programme, and encouraging UKZ to fully utilize the expertise, resources, and funding mechanisms available. He further emphasized that this MoU lays the groundwork for deeper cooperation in key areas, including university governance, quality assurance, research development, and performance-based funding.
Additionally, the ceremony facilitated a space for open discussion, in which participants in which participants covered a range of topics related to the MoU and the sustainability of the proposed actions. Emphasizing their commitment to the Memorandum of Understanding, UHZ and SHER assured that the agreed-upon operations will be carried out efficiently swiftly.
Through this partnership, SHER Programme will provide support to help the university achieve its strategic goals over the next three years.
