Initial Workshop for Social Dimension Grantees

17.10.2025

On 14 October 2025, the SHER Team organized the Initial Workshop with the selected grantees under the Social Dimension Small Grant Scheme.

The workshop brought together representatives from higher education institutions and organizations whose projects were awarded under this scheme. The event aimed to introduce the selected initiatives, foster collaboration among grantees, and establish a shared understanding of the objectives, processes, and expectations for the successful implementation of activities that promote inclusion, equity, and access within Kosovo’s higher education sector.

The session was moderated by Louise Sperl, Head of Projects at WUS Austria, and Shqiponjë Kodraliu, Programme Officer, SHER Team, with valuable contributions from Donjeta Ibra, Office Manager, SHER Team. Their facilitation ensured an engaging and interactive environment where participants could exchange insights, reflect on challenges, and explore opportunities for joint learning.

Throughout the workshop, participants:
– Received a comprehensive overview of the SHER Programme and its role in advancing the social dimension of higher education in Kosovo;
– Presented their projects through poster displays and short presentations, highlighting innovative approaches and creative solutions to address barriers in access and participation;
– Engaged in plenary discussions identifying potential synergies and areas for cooperation across projects to maximize collective impact;
– Discussed reporting, communication, and dissemination guidelines, emphasizing transparency, accountability, and the visibility of project outcomes.

This workshop marked an important milestone in the implementation of the Social Dimension Small Grant Scheme, reinforcing SHER’s commitment to building inclusive and equitable higher education systems.

The SHER Team looks forward to closely collaborating with all grantees in the months ahead and supporting them in translating their ideas into meaningful change for students and institutions across Kosovo.
