On 16 September 2024, in the frame of the new ADA funded programme ‘Sustainable Higher Education and Research (SHER)’, our team met with the University ‘Ukshin Hoti’ in Prizren (UUHP) senior management.

Our Team Leader Mr. Aqim Emurli informed the Rector Mr. Mentor Alishani and his team that SHER is designed in full consultation with all stakeholders in Kosovo and as such, aims at contributing to a sustainable, evidence-based, needs-oriented and gender-responsive higher education and research sector in Kosovo that is in line with the principles of European Higher Education Area, European Research Area, and Sustainable Development Goals 4 and 9.  Moreover, he presented the programme focus areas, expected results and programme activities.

Mr. Alishani welcomed and congratulated the team for starting the new SHER programme and wished a successful implementation. He said that the UUHP is delighted to continue the fruitful cooperation throughout the programme. He stated that UUHP emerging priorities fall under the interventions of the programme.

Both parties agreed to work together in the coming period and formulate the priorities of the UUHP that will be addressed by the SHER and  which will be part of the joint Memorandum of Understanding.
